Tradition Reinterpreted
What happened when traditional distillery Bimmerle asked us to create a concept that spoke to their love of the Black Forest? Tradition and modernity combined in a single malt and a blended whisky: meet Theo and Wilhelm.
In close collaboration with the family business, we developed the design concept as well as the positioning, naming, and bottle shape for the modern heritage brand EVERMANN – a project close to the heart of the master distiller, who was keen to add two whiskies to the Bimmerle range.
The two fictitious namesakes Theo and Wilhelm underscore the personality of the two whiskies – with Theo designed for the retail trade and Wilhelm as an upscale gastronomy variant.
We gave the bottles a design that shows off their distinctive characteristics. The interplay of Black Forest tradition and cosmopolitanism is reflected in all design elements: ornamental pattern elements and bottle embossing symbolize the EVERMANN E and, at the same time, an abstract fir tree while green tones whet the appetite for the taste of the Black Forest. Each bottle of Wilhelm is individually refined by a hand-applied brass ring.
Our pattern design is not only found on EVERMANN glasses; it also served as inspiration for the design of event bars.
